The mismanagement of this conversion is preposterous. The owners must just be waiting around to sell the building to a group that will just tear it down.

Re: Vertigo to get less ugly?

There are four colors total it appears. Dark green, dark red, and as Brad said, two colors of baby poop brown.

Overall, the building isn't so hideous anymore. However, the quality of the paint job is horrible. They didn't put enough coats on to cover up the previous obnoxious colors. There are several spots that they missed entirely. Also, there is overspray in several spots.

And the building does look completely vacant. At night time the other night, there wasn't a single light on in the building.

Re: Vertigo to get less ugly?

Now it's two colors of baby poop brown-- even uglier than before.

Re: Vertigo to get less ugly?

i drove by the other day and the new paint was just about done... it looks SO much better!

Re: Vertigo to get less ugly?

I was told that the repainting is due to a petition that was signed by hundreds of neighborhood residents. I have also noticed that after several months on the market the building remains empty.

I am more likely to believe that the repaint is an attempt to attract residents than to appease the neighbors.

Re: Vertigo to get less ugly?

I went by there a couple of days ago and it looks like they've finally decided on a color scheme. They were taping things off and getting ready to start painting.

Re: Vertigo to get less ugly?

let's hope they're not picking it themselves! i hope they consult a professional...

Re: Vertigo to get less ugly?

I walked by there over a month ago and they had the test patches then too. How long does it take to pick a color?
