Urbnlivn: Discover SLU Event: Veer, Rollin Street, Enso, Martin

Sound's like they had better food at the public preview and you guys got to keep the floor plans. Not quite sure how they were able to spread the event over 4 hours. The one hour agent preview was 50 minutes too long, IMHO.

I had been interested in the Veer but after seeing the finishes, I was disappointed. But, then, what's not to like about orange vinyl :)

Yes, great food, lots of floor plans.

And I too had been interested in the Veer (the price is probably right for me) but their preliminary finishes do not look good (except for the concrete (or cement (I can never tell the difference)) floors). If you bought there, you'd definitely have to factor in re-doing the kitchen. I suspect Rollin will be much better.

I also went...what a waste of time on a nice Saturday afternoon.

Rollin Street really disappointed. The floor plans were absolutely horrible. I believe the east side of the building is going to look straight into another building and it doesn't help that it's a very steep hill eastward. Plus pricing is going to start at 400k? I've heard 300k before. Enso is going to start at mid 400's, and that's going to be an open one bedroom on the second floor. I think they're going to have a tough time getting these prices for them.

No deals to had on these projects. I was very interested but not anymore. Very disappointed.

It was a waste of time.. I had been planning on going to Whistler this weekend but pushed it back a month so I could go to this instead. Ugh. Why couldn't they had the 'event' during the week??

I'm surprised you didn't like the Rollin Street floor plans. I thought a lot of the one bedrooms with balconies were promising. I also agree that Rollin and Enso are pricey. The other project I've been interested in is the Brix Lofts on Capitol Hill. I'm really curious about their pricing now.

Did anyone notice that the flexi-loft floor plans at Veer will have less than 6 feet of clearance (I though they said closer to 5 and a half) from the upper floor to the ceiling? I'm surprised no one commented on this yet, although maybe I was the only one who didn't anticipate it. Only the full lofts are going to have normal ceiling heights for the upper level, as well as the stair case. The flexi-lofts will have a ladder instead. Not very practical if you ask me, considering only the full loft floor plans include a bathroom upstairs. The staff tried to tell me that the upper level was more designed for sleeping than anything else for the flexi layout, and that the clearance wasn't actually that bad (you got used to it). But if I remember correctly some of their flexi floor plans have over 200 sq. ft. of floor space on the second level, with their depictions showing a desk to work at (among other things). I was definitely disappointed when I heard this, because I probably won't be able to afford the starting price of a full loft ($400-600's).
